This was taken on the 5th of this month. The moon rose & set early (and seemingly closer) this past cycle, which afforded a glimpse at this cool phenomenon. I left the streetlight in the pic for reference, so that you can see this was the actual color of the moon.
I only wish i had been in a place where i could have set up my tripod, so it wouldn't be as blurry; but every second was of the essence, as the moon was setting, and i was sneaking around the shadows of a gated community. I thought it better to just get the shot & go back to my friend's house. Perhaps next time, i'll just take a chance and set up shop in a random neighbor's yard. Don't you really have the desire to invite me over to your place, now? I'm a lovely dinner guest, i assure you. ;)

Thanks, friend! I only wish that i would have had the courage (or lack of sense) to actually set up my tripod in this neighborhood, so it could be in focus. It was just so low, that it was tricky to even get this shot.
