Old Habits

...may die hard, but they can always use a new image.

A friend on a certain social networking site mentioned that he is going kayaking at 6:30am tomorrow...

One of his friends responded with... 'A.M. stands for "Ain't Makin'it"!'

After i quit laughing, i admitted that this is me, as well. I know this may disappoint a few of you, but that pretty much has been my life motto since i hit 30. You may have noticed a blatant lack of sunrise pics. Don't get me wrong: i love watching a sunrise, but that has mostly been done after a long night of stargazing - aside from the period in my younger twenties, where it was just part of the job to be there at the crack of dawn. Not coincidentally, that is also when i developed a coffee addiction.

It's good to know that i am not the only night owl out there, that doesn't get to see the sunrise due to having other commitments, like work and whatnot, that requires a little sleep somewhere in between the two realms.

That "am" line cracks me up :) I have the opposite problem. I'm a total early bird, but it seems like the world revolves around "later" things! I can't even believe I'm still awake, actually. If I had my way it'd be cool to go to bed at 9!

Amanda ~

Ha-ha! That is my new go-to motto. ;) I secretly dream of going to bed at 9 sometimes, but the night skies beckon... :)

Thank you, sir! :) I would truly love to know who thought that one up!

Sankara ~

Thank you! :) I actually got to see about 4 sunrises, this past trip. I documented each with my camera ...and promptly went back to bed, each time. :D
